Strengthening the Gluteus Medius Using Various Bodyweight and Resistance Exercises
When I started teaching at SoulCycle, I quickly realized just how important stretching and mobility work was. Teaching on the bike several times a day led to a new kind of tension in my lower body that I hadn’t experienced before. I knew that if I didn’t start practicing mobility in my routine soon that I would be on the fast-track to an injury, which could put me out of the gym for weeks. And working out was literally my job!
PSA: Mobility and stretching is extra important for people who sit down for most of the day. Studies show that people who sit for 6-8 hours a day are at a higher risk for disease.
